Self-Employed
If you are currently self employed you can have an even greater tax savings because you contribute to your retirement in two ways. One as an employee and the other as an employer. There are many types of retirement and savings accounts for business owners.

There is the solo 401K plan that has its own limitations as well as a SIMPLE IRA that has different limitations on the amount that can be deposited tax free. For example, on a solo 401k plan you can deposit up to $45,000.00 annually that will be tax deferred. If you use the SIMPLE IRA you can save up to $10,500.00 annually and another 3% from your business contribution.

Employer Contributions
It is important to understand employer contributions in relation to a tax savings. Whatever amount your employer matches on your retirement contribution does not go towards your tax deductible limitations. If you are not currently contributing the amount that is necessary to take full advantage of your employer contribution than you are essentially giving away money.

Always try and contribute the full amount in order to receive the full match from your employer.

By limiting the number of drivers that will be operating your van, you limit the total cost of your complete insurance package you will need to obtain.

Drivers with a less than perfect driving record, young and inexperienced drivers or even elderly drivers can all have a negative impact on your van insurance premium overall.

Not long after the 1st problem was settled don’t I get a phone call from a acquaintance saying someone has rammed into his car from behind and are refusing any obligation. Not quite certain how that works as they clearly rammed into his car. Well hot on my winner with google and the phantom plumbers don’t I get on-line and go looking for a Solicitor in Newcastle  for him. Only on the off chance that his insurance policy has some small little clause about legal costs who knows?

On a happier note someone I know has resolved to expend some of their redundancy on buying a delivery business concern. Not quite positive if they have done as much research as they should ahead of going for it .I have told them that they require a Accountant in Newcastle to look at the account books as these people know precisely what they are looking at. For the fee it may well spare him thousands if the concern is going to close or with a bit of luck the accountant will turn around and say that it looks like a paying business go for it.

So all in all the last few weeks have been quite heavy around here. Looking ahead to a few smooth weeks now with no leakages or telephone calls about car accidents.
